It is hard to believe we are winding down another year! Attached is the 2017 MMSS Scheduled dates. Topics, as they develop, are listed below. Also, please see link below for important Living Well Teleconferences by the International Myeloma Foundation . One is an archive you can watch at your convenience on CAR-T Therapy. The other is a live, happening THIS Thursday, 11/17/16, on Pre-ASH Information. These are FREE teleconferences.
The October meeting was a very informative session on "Viruses Can Be Used For Good!" by Elizabeth Eckert, PhD(c). I want to thank Elizabeth for sharing this really important and interesting information with the group. Very complex information shared in a way we could understand. She has given me permission to share with you her hand out. Please see the other attachment. This is a PDF so you will need Adobe to view the information.
Our next meeting will be this Saturday, November 19th, 2016. One of our members, Dr. William "Bill" Marshall, who is also an Infectious Disease Specialist at Mayo, will be giving us information about preventing infections (the other side of the debate, you might say!). We will have introductions as usual and a few announcements of upcoming events.
ALSO ------ It's never too early to plan ahead. If you have ideas or particular topics of interest for the 2017 meeting agenda, please send me an email with your thoughts.
